Niu Dun met with the visiting Vice Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Miatiev on Jan.16th, 2014. The two sides exchanged views on convening the meeting of International Association of Akhal-Teke Breeding (MAAK) in May, China.
Niu pointed out, the ancient Silk Road has linked the two peoples since a long time ago. The two countries share a friendly relationship based on mutual political trust and close cooperation in the economic and cultural areas. To hold the meeting in China will definitely promote traditional friendship between China and Turkmenistan as well as deepen bilateral exchange and cooperation of horse breeding. Niu stated that China will keep in touch with the Turkmenistan to prepare for the meeting.
Miatiev appreciated all that China has done and expressed his willingness to work together with China for the meeting, which he regarded as an opportunity to boost down- to- earth cooperation of horse breeding between the two countries.
